The brackets are made of solid, heavy, thick, cast iron and the wheels are pure porcelain.At the point of salvage, we found the parts very dirty, and rusty (see last photo). Since then, we cleaned and polished all to the best of our ability. There are still spots of rust here and there, however, that just augments their aged charm. The amount of rust varies from part to part. See, "Group photos," to compare.All casters are in great shape with no breaks, bends, cracks, chips, or dents. The wheels turn easily and smoothly. * If you need 2 more casters, we have 2 that weren't in as good condition as these were, so we held off from selling them.
