Antique Bronze Ormolu Satire Figure Wall Mount Architecture

Description

This is a very cool bronze piece. Mid 18th century from French or moulu ‘powdered gold’ (used in gilding over bronze). This was probably a piece on a high end Victorian furnishing. He features horns and pointed ears. In today's time, I use these as wall mounts, like art work. They are truly one of a kind and make a serious unique statement. This one is in very good condition with wear in all the right spots. It dates from the mid 1800s and spans 7 & 5/8 inches in length. There are 3 small pinholes for mounting (best to mount with finishing nails).
