    Description

ANTIQUE VINTAGE SET OF 4 CAST IRON FURNITURE LEGS WITH GLASS BALL AND CLAW FEET. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail package. Up for auction is a set of four antique cast iron claw furniture feet clutching a clear glass ball, otherwise known as Ball and Claw feet. These beautiful feet feature accent embossed linear scroll designs and bulging open work encasing the glass balls. These are the type of feet usually seen on Victorian lamp tables and piano or organ stools. They measure about 3-3/4”in length x 1-1/2” in width , with a 1" top outside diameter and a 3/4" inside diameter. The attachment hole has a 1/4" diameter (original screws included) and each foot weighs about 5 ounces. There are no marks on the inside, so I have no idea of the maker. The glass balls are in quite good shape with small bubble inclusions, except that two do have a chip (both are subtle and not very noticeable). All four of the balls have a flat surface where they were placed on the floor. This set of cast iron feet has dramatic sculpted textures that once attached to a piece of furniture, would make a great impression in a period bungalow or apartment.
