    Description

    An old set of gymnastic parallel bars. By JE Porter of Ottawa Illinois. The set does show some soiling and wear, scratches, etc. Missing one wheel. One bar lock handle is broke. One base screw leg lock is broke(small tab behind the bottom knob). The wood beams are approximately 119 inches long. The cast iron base is approximately 51 inches long , and 8 inches wide(measured at the JE Porter name) from floor to very top is about 39 inches tall. The top half of the beam does come out, without that piece in it, it would be about 24 inches tall. The tab for the beam comes out about 4 inches from the base. The steel base beam is about 81 inches long. I bought this assuming someone may want to repurpose the base legs, if you are buying for what it was made for, I do not know the structural safety of the wood beam, etc. It does seem pretty sturdy. Each base half is extremely heavy, takes at least two people to handle it.Due to weight and size, it is pickup only. It is at Monmouth, Iowa. I can help load. Cash is preferred for all pickups.
